Adventurous Date Ideas
Sometimes the thing that you need to spice up a relationship
that is becoming old is an adventurous date. This type of
date releases endorphins that can add to the excitement of the
date. Also, most of these dates take place in natural
setting that creates a beautiful backdrop for reconnecting with
your partner. White water rafting, tandem skydiving,
snowshoeing and hiking are just a few examples of the adventure
date ideas that are available.
A white water rafting trip is an excellent adventurous date
idea. Most of these trips take place in picturesque
settings that include rivers that meander through canyons
providing an incredibly scenic location for your date.
This is an adventurous date idea but you don't have to worry
about it being too intense. There are options available
for all levels of expertise so you don't have to worry about
being too far in over your head. If you are new to the
sport you can choose a Class II adventure that will allow you
and your date to mostly enjoy the scenery with a few small
rapids mixed in. If you and your partner are both
experienced rafters, you could opt for a Class IV or Class V
adventure that will be a non-stop thrill ride. Although
the actual rafting portion of the date does not allow for much
time for conversation, you and your date can go out for a
romantic dinner afterwards where you will have much to talk
about after the adventure you just experienced.
Tandem skydiving is another adventurous date idea.
This is an exciting date idea because doing something that is
frightening can draw the couple closer together and contribute
to their closeness. You will most likely have to attend a
safety and instructional course before taking flight but you
and your date can use this opportunity to help each other to
learn the necessary information for your dive. Once you
have successfully completed the training, you are ready to
fly. Sharing in the nervous energy that will ensue can
help to draw you and your date closer together. Then
after your successful jump you will feel the excitement of
having achieved a goal together.
Snowshoeing is another adventurous date idea. The
wonderful thing about snowshoeing is that you are usually
fairly isolated from the rest of society so you and your date
are free to focus on each other. Spending an afternoon in
the mountains with your date will give the two of you plenty of
time to talk and get to know each other as you explore the snow
covered mountains. Plan on bringing a thermos filled with
coffee or hot chocolate to enjoy a well-deserved break after
you and your date reach either the summit or the half waypoint
of your adventure. Also, bring a camera with an automatic
setting and a tripod so that you can have a way to take a
picture of the two of you as a memento of your adventure
together. The mountains are usually pretty isolated and
although you may encounter a few other snowshoers during your
adventure you are unlikely to have others readily available to
snap a photo of you and your date.
Hiking can be another adventurous date idea. Much like
white water rafting, it offers options for all levels of
hikers. You can either choose a rigorous hike with a
steep ascent to a high elevation or a simple low-level hike
with very little elevation or something in between with rolling
hills. Hiking is a date activity that can be enjoyed just
about any time of the year. Spring and summer are peak
times and you and your date are likely to encounter crowds on
some of the more popular trails and fall is bound to be less
crowded. Whatever time of year you choose to go on your
hiking date, pack a lunch with you and plan on enjoying your
afternoon meal in nature's splendorous surroundings.
Adventurous dates offer a wonderful change of pace from the
usual dinner and a movie type of dates. Adventure dates
give you and your partner the opportunity to connect on a
completely different level. Additionally, the
surroundings that nature supplies for these types of dates make
them incredibly memorable.
